Re: “Alvin Greene on the issues

For all of you who claim that Mr Brown has "embedded an editorial" on the Arizona immigration reform or is has a negligible understanding of it in general. It would be wise to look at some of the stories written on the matter from a few other venerable sources, because they all parrot what this author has written in that one (I repeat, one) sentence.

The Las Vegas Sun: "The Arizona law’s most contentious provisions would make being in the country illegally a state crime; force immigrants to carry identifying papers; and require police to question the immigration status of anyone suspected of being in the country illegally. Race and country of origin can’t be the only factor in determining “reasonable suspicion” of being here illegally."

The Washington Post's E.J Dionne also writes, "As The Post reported, the law “requires authorities in Arizona to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are in the country illegally.” The Arizona Republic notes that it “would require anyone whom police suspect of being in the country illegally to produce ‘an alien registration document,’ such as a green card or other proof of citizenship, such as a passport or Arizona driver's license.”

Lastly, PBS writes: "The Pew Poll, conducted in early May, shows that more than 60 percent of Americans support the Arizona law's separate provisions, which give police increased authority to question and detain people they suspect of being in the country illegally."

I see no reason for anyone to claim there is a bias one way or another in this article when it comes the issue in question.

Wow... the audio portion of this is unbelievable! Is this guy just that daft or is there actually something wrong with him?
