Pint of Hope Zombie Pub Crawl

When: Sat., Oct. 5, 5-11 p.m. 2013
Price: $15
If you like your beer with a side of brains and blood, then gear up for Pint of Hope’s Zombie Pub Crawl, which features nine bars around Park Circle — the Barbeque Joint, Cork Neighborhood Bistro, DIG in the Park, EVO, Fratello’s, Madra Rua Irish Pub, the Mill, Sesame Burgers and Beer, and the Sparrow. Holy City Brewery is discounting its beer and including some rare brews for the festivities. The crawl will have a costume contest, silent auction, professional MAC girls to apply makeup, official T-shirts, and an after party featuring DJ Big Hair Dave at DIG in the Park. There’ll also be a raffle for a chance for 10 to win a private tasting at Holy City Brewery. The number of times your team is entered in the raffle depends on how many bars you get to stamp your scorecard. The crawl is organized by Lowcountry AIDS Service, which uses the fundraiser to help provide those living with HIV or AIDS in the Lowcountry with services like case management, financial aid, legal aid, and prevention education. “This event brings local people and businesses together for a common cause,” says Sean Ferneau, one of the organizers of the pub crawl. “The South is ground zero for new HIV infections, and Charleston is no exception. The Zombie Crawl is a fun way to kick off Halloween and support those living with HIV or AIDS.”
