Perception Wine Dinner

When: Tue., Jan. 25, 7 p.m. 2011
Phone: (843) 727-0090
Price: $90

Chef Matthew Niessner plans to surprise guests with five creative courses at this Halls Chophouse wine dinner. During the opening reception, guests will get a preview of what’s to come with both a soft Pinot Noir and a light Chardonnay.

Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. and includes a menu of broiled monk fish from the Cape Cod area with a balanced, soft oak Chardonnay, an apple cider-brined duck breast with local greens, a dual entrée of N.Y. prime steak and braised lamb with two Zinfandels — one high powered and one floral — and a chocolate martini for dessert.

Niessner says it will be an interactive event and plans to enhance Perception’s wine with a signature technique: unique pairings or garnishes that will leave guests perfectly satiated.
