Not that I see anything about this in the article, but when we lived in the Charleston area (up until about 2 years ago) I used to love being greeted by Billy Hall at his restaurant. And receiving thank-you cards signed by the entire family.

They're doing pretty well these days as I understand it.

We saw Porgy and Bess on Saturday. I am by no means an opera buff; I wanted to go because it's a part of Charleston culture.

I'm glad Celeste Pottier commented that the words were hard to understand and that it would help to know the whole story beforehand. My sentiments exactly, and her comments made me feel less of a plebeian.
