Re: “F&BUS calls it quits after getting only 1 passenger to ride

Does anyone else read the name like Fn Bus? A revenue model like an all you can ride monthly membership may seem daunting at first, but youll get users when parking fees go up. Free and inconvenient is worse than a monthly fee and convenient. So I think you invest more in the front end and the public will respond in kind. Also get these restaurants to sponsor their employees rides. Charge Restaurant X a flat fee and all their employees can ride. Restaurant X then encourages employees to use the service.

This is just the two off the top of my head with some afternoon caffeine in there. Reach out for more.

Re: “Warning signs to be added to horse carriages in downtown Charleston

Why not have caution signs when boarding the horse carriage? "CAUTION: You're being cruel and lazy. Walk or bike your fat ass around town."

Re: “New effort aims to name upper peninsula’s east side

Instead of Upper Edge, I just like North Edge. A lot easier and rolls off the tongue. The Drum is also way better than NoMo. I wish as a city we steered away from recycled terminology that's slightly adapted to fit us: "Silicon Harbor", "NoMo"... it's a poor attempt and completely unoriginal. Let it die here and now.

Others to throw on the pile:

- Union Village - plays on the North/South and the decidedly different vibe up there as opposed to historical Charleston (more tech, culinary influence of North and West Coast, architecture, and commerce). Also, this area is a lot more of a melting pot between races, cultures, and especially ages in comparison to King St Corridor and south.

- Bridgeport - It's just by the Ravenel, the Naval port is part of this area (not as inspired but no one can argue with the applicable nature of the name)
