Re: “Queen Street Grocery & CafĂ©

I have found this to be a nice little gem nestled a couple of blocks from the courthouse. In addition to the wonderful crepes and salads, they also have sushi and sandwiches in the back coolers. Makes for a quick lite lunch away from the hustle and bustle.

Re: “A neighborhood favorite quietly impresses with Mediterranean flavors

I confess I don't usually order roast chicken when dining out, but this review intrigued me enough that I stopped on my way home tonight. The review was spot on. This may be the best roast chicken I've ever had. Moist, tender and covered with a very tasty wine sauce. A real snap to the sauce. I'll order this again in a heartbeat. I did not need the pomme frites, and it was a supreme act of will power to leave some on the plate.

From a serious bbq-lover, this place quickly jumped to the top of the line for Charleston Q joints. The wood-smoked flavor stands out in a business where gas-cooked meat predominates. The servings are huge. I do not like their mustard sauce one bit as it is dijon mustard based. Who ever heard of that? It doesn't work, but they have an excellent vinegar-pepper sauce to make up for it.

It's not a take-the-kids-out-for-pizza type place. I thought it was good, but pricey for the amount of food you get. More of a yuppie hang-out than a family pizzaria.

I went to eat here on 6-27-07. It is no longer open as a restaurant. It is only a grocery store now.
