Re: “The current state of South Carolina health care

American health care must change in order to coincide with todays workforce. The new generation of Americans have a new outlook on life in which the 9-5 job that provides health coverage will in fact be detrimental to their health. Many who do freelance work or started their own small businesses can't afford the overhead cost of health insurance, especially is you have a pre-existing condition. My advice, an uninsured diagnosed with Crohn's disease 8 years ago, is if you have health insurance through an employer, do everything you can to continue that coverage even if you leave the job (try Cobra insurance as a continuation of your coverage, it will cost you but it's worth it. I can't even afford regular, preventive Crohn's checkups because healthcare is ridiculously expensive. Without insurance you are pretty much sca-roooo-ed.
