I think more people will read it because it is free. Reaching the public, aside from turning a profit, is the goal of the press. We readers don't have to pay and the publication supports itself via advertising sponsorship while increasing readership, that is a win-win situation.
Case in point, even someone who calls the publication "garbage" reads it.
I applaud the City Paper, the upcoming Beau Magazine and all of Charleston's free papers for providing their press free to the public. Keep it up!
