Night Ranger on Styx/R.E.O. bill

Can they still 'Rock in America?'

Classic rock acts Styx and R.E.O. Speedwagon recently booked a concert at the North Charleston Coliseum for Thurs. Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. Last week, promoters announced an additional opening act — the San Fran-based '80s-era pop-metal quintet Night Ranger.

The current version of the band features three original members, guitarist Brad Gillis, singer/bassist Jack Blades, and singer/drummer Kelly Keagy.

Night Ranger's albums Dawn Patrol and Midnight Madness hit the charts, as did the keyboard-peppered rock hits "Don't Tell Me You Love Me," "(You Can Still) Rock in America," and power ballad "Sister Christian." In 2007, Sony/BMG released a concert album titled Live Japan. This year, they issued a new studio album titled Hole In The Sun.
