The PLEX: FUEL & TRAPT

Hard-rock act Fuel return to Charleston for a show with Trapt at The Plex (2390 Aviation Ave.) on Sat. Nov. 10. Fuel are touring in support of a new one on Epic titled Angels & Devils. The band's lineup includes founding members Carl Bell (guitar) and Jeff Abercrombie (bass) with singer Toryn Green and former Godsmack drummer Tommy Stewart. West Coast band Trapt — vocalist Chris Brown, guitarist Simon Ormandy, bassist Peter Charell, drummer Aaron Montgomery — are on the road behind a collection titled Trapt Live!. Local singer/songwriter Leah Suárez (of ensemble Toca Toca) celebrates the release of a new EP with a special performance on Thurs. Nov. 15 at Theatre 99 at 8 p.m. with "a big crew of awesome local musicians." Dig more at www.leahsuarez.com.

Local rock trio Dangermuffin — guitarists Dan Lotti and Mike Sivilli and drummer Jim Donnelly — have officially dropped their umlaut and completed a 10-song debut titled Beermuda. The disc officially hits the street on Thurs. Nov. 15 when they play their CD release gig at the Pour House with support from local band Milhouse. Check out www.myspace.com/dangermuffin.

Folk-rock/country singer/guitarist Skip Sullins recently recorded at Island Sound Studios with engineer Steve Green and pressed a nine-song collection of originals and standards titled I Can't Get There From Here. ROCKIN' VETERANS DAY

Organized by FishBait Festivals and Events and the National Veterans Day Celebration Foundation, a series of fund-raising events are set for this week. Southern rock group Charlie Daniels Band are set to headline an event Patriots Point on Sat. Nov. 10. Rock vets Grand Funk Railroad headline the grand finale at the Riverfront Park in North Charleston on Sun. Nov. 11.
