New brunch options

Mimosas (or screwdrivers or sangria) for everyone

Looking for new brunch spot this weekend? On Saturday, Laura Alberts on Daniel Island will be open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with a brunch menu that includes omelets, shrimp and grits, and crab cake eggs Benedict. Carafes of mimosas and bloody beers too.

Taco Boy downtown started serving brunch last Sunday. They open at 9 a.m. with a menu of Mexican classics like heuvos rancheros paired with French press coffee or frozen screwdrivers (depending on your frame of mind, we guess). A mariachi band will take the stage at 11 a.m. Sounds like that's where the party's at.

Or if you like your Latin flavors to be more continental, you could venture towards the sand and surf for Atlanticville's Sangria Sunday. In addition to their popular brunch menu, Atlanticville will have Dori playing Spanish guitar on the deck. Paired with a pitcher of sangria, this might just be a perfect start to your Sunday.
