Re: “Media Matters Keeps an Eye on Fox News

Will - Criticizing Mr. Graham is, of course, o.k. But name calling isn't. It's just rude and childish! Therefore, let this e-mail serve as official notice that on this date, May 9, 2010, you have been accepted by acclamation for induction into the Proctological Insertion Point Hall of Fame. Congratulations are in order! Details regarding the induction ceremony, etc., to follow.

Re: “GOP will get ugly about the Employee Free Choice Act

Some time back, I was a member of a construction industry union in the great state of Minnesota, home of the Democratic Farmer LABOR Party, and observed first hand some of the shenanigans that organized labor can implement when given basically a free hand. If you think that employers have a corner on threats and intimidation, wait until you see what union organizers can accomplish in those areas. As soon as they can positively identify those who, for whatever reason, don't support unionization - as they will be able to do once they get rid of the secret ballot - it will get ugly quickly.

Giving all control to the unions is no more desirable than giving too much advantage to employers. What is needed from the incompetents in Washington and Columbia is a solution that strikes (no pun intended) a balance between the parties. That is what will make the system work effectively. The proposed Employee Free Choice Act is not that solution.
