Re: “Twenty years of secular humanism in Charleston

I understand the humanist part, but why does the group focus on godlessness? Why not just advertise as a group of charitable donors looking for others concerned about humanity rather than do so at the expense of charitable religious organizations? The whole idea of this group seems quite childish, as is it's billboard on I-26. I can only imagine how unnecessarily offensive the sign in December will be.

Re: “Twenty years of secular humanism in Charleston

I understand the humanist part, but why focus on godlessness? The whole idea of the group seems quite childish. Yes, it gathers charitable people together which is great, but seems to do so at the expense of charitable giving and involvement from religious organizations. Why not just state the mission of the group as a collection of charitable contributors seeking others that are like minded rather than masquerade some kind of arrogant anti-religious bs like that sign on I-26? I can only imagine how unnecessarily offensive the sign will be in December.
