Re: “Charleston's seven most controversial restaurants

We're locals and we still regularly visit Hyman's but mostly for the tradition and value. The quality has tanked a bit from years past. All in all it's an "experience" that we still enjoy today as a family. Jestine's is not bad but not good either and definitely not worth the wait. I found Triangle pretty good but we also like their Taco Tuesdays more than burger nights. Every time we've been to Husk it's been nothing short of divine! They have gone a bit overboard with the fried chicken skins, it started as a small tasting that has now turned into a whole plate. Their lunch is mediocre compared to dinner I'd say. I recommend anyone in question of some of these establishments to follow the chefs online where the passion shows in where they go, what they find, and how they treat the ingredients and how they put them together for the consumer. It can be pretty eye opening.
