Re: “Stavrinakis resurrects bike lane debate; Tecklenburg announces ethics plan

I wasn't suggesting that the mayor needs to be an expert in shrubs and the like.
They need to be able to run the city... whether or not a bike lane is added to a bridge would not equate to the ability to... NM

Re: “Smith: What we should demand of our new mayor

Nice article. Idealism may be the source of some of the greatest headaches in the known world but worthy achievements are not started by defeatists. The only way to help guide the ship is find your way onto it. Throwing rocks from the shore just ripples the water or worse, injures the boat itself.

Re: “Stavrinakis resurrects bike lane debate; Tecklenburg announces ethics plan

Are we all really considering a bike lane on a bridge the key issue in a mayoral election? Shame on anyone who uses this information to determine the proper candidate. I won't try to sway anyone to either candidate BUT it would be a good idea to find out who knows how to navigate through the city's bureaucratic infrastructure in order to accomplish any goal. Think Health Department, Disaster Relief, Budgeting, Planning and Development, a plethora of divisions and staffing from forestry to the fire department.
