So I found it, cool beans.... anyhoo good article on your subjective view on your "Holy City's" hip-hop culture or lack there of. I agree with one of the previous comments, do not wait for the "powers that be" to intergrate the culture; you & others are it, continue to be it and have your own venues/ events etc. No place is monolithic so some folks will never get it. Glad you have had a chance to even spark some ppl's interest in hip-hop! UGH, to the fella that wants an explaination of hip-hop it cant be explained fully in an article; hip-hop is an experience! Hip-hop is art, music, style, speech, people & so much more. I do think the "hip-hop is religion" is a little overboard/ blasphemy even for me. To each their (wrong use in your last paragraph) own; everyone doesn't believe in organized religion or Christ for that matter even in the bible-belt. Keep sharing your truth, it gives others strength to share theirs as well!!!

I was looking for your (KJK's) new article and ran across this; snipet biopic of KJ... cool. I know big city's get marketed to but, not all demographics!?! Eveyone sharing in these plethora of outlets will soon get attention to "whatever you like"
