Re: “The hypocrisy of the American pro-life movement

I have a few things to point out here.
Why does it always boil down to, "what about the lives that were lost on 9/11 and those that were affected by it?"? A life is a life. Where people are from is irrelevant. And no, that's not un-patriotic, that's human.

I am pro-choice. This does NOT mean I am pro-abortion. I believe in the sanctity of human life, but not in anyone's right to govern what other people do to their own body, and to an embryo, which no I do not think is a person. That doesn't mean I think anyone should get an abortion, so let's work on getting people to use contraceptives, shall we?

Finally, to add to the hypocrisy debate, it astounds me that many people who are pro-life are also pro-medicine in so far as keeping people alive on life support beyond a reasonable time frame, and in a constant vegetative state. If it's not ok to play God when deciding when new life will enter the world, then it's also not OK to play God and decide when it leaves.
