Re: “A review of Fred Neuville's Wild Olive

We tried the Wild Olive with great expectations and were sorely disappointed. The atmosphere and decor are very nice and we ate on the enclosed porch which was lovely. Our waiter highly recommended the cavatelli and it was bland and tasteless. The sausage had no seasoning and it overall tasted like something you'd get in a frozen section of a grocery store. We also tried the tagliatelle which was better but still nothing to rave about. I might go back to try the osso bucco, but at 25 bucks a plate I'd just as soon go to Tristans or FIG downtown where for the same price I'm guaranteed somthing awesome. I'll be heading back to Aldila for my inexpensive italian fix- it's no wonder that place is always packed.
