Re: “Frank Rich Takes on the Neo-Confederates

If for no other reason, the term Neo-Confederacy should be as worrisome to folks as Neo-Nazi. This is not to offer a similarity discussion, but simply a perspective. The confederacy much like the Nazi's were about change, and that's where the similarities part company drastically, except for one thing a group of people in both cases were the Cause of Major conjecture and contention , and it is those Minority group of people that became the Focal point of discussion even to this day.

Neo confederacy is less about the conservative reach back of ideals and tradition, as it is about a Reversal of those ideas and most policies that occurred during that change. This is the product of the so called "TEA-Baggers" that took focus and political legitimacy from the Well Intentioned T.E.A. Party and turned it into a Automatic weapon toting in public, 18th century wet dream fro those hearkening to more restrictive days , where WHITE men were the LAW and White women were Chaste and Silent and not whites faded into the background when not tending the fields doing FREE labor.(Overly Dramatic and Unfairly stated as that was, that is the image being portrayed).

To put it simply the confederacy Lost, and I am Glad they did, because if they hadn't slavery might still be in place to this day. The economy would be MUCH BETTER , but the price of Freedom cannot be paid with Gold.
