Re: “The joy's still there for Three Dog Night

David, you and other Chuck lovers are in total denial and have very inaccurate information (only Chuck's word). According to's bio of Cory (which is correct because the author thanks Cory for his assistance with the bio's accuracy), it was CORY who was against Chuck returning to the band.
However, by 1997 both Danny and Cory were ready to reinstate him with conditions (3 years on a trial basis and not being a partner). In my opinion, these conditions were necessary, since 1. Chuck was away from the band for 12 years, 2.there was no guarantee that Chuck could still fit in with them (harmonize with Danny and Cory as well as get along with the other band members) 3. no guarantee that Chuck could remain clean and sober. Cory and Danny owned the rights to the band and had to think of everyone who was employed by TDN; hence the conditions. (Cory talks briefly about this in a September 28, 2012 interview with
Chuck, for his part, made outrageous demands and the deal was terminated. To get revenge, he then wrote a book which denigrated Danny, Cory, and the band, gave interviews where he took sole credit for the band's success in the 70's as well as being nasty and mean spirited toward the band members over the years (most recently made insinuations against Cory's character while his family, friends, "brothers in the band" and fans are still in mourning) and wrote very negative posts about TDN on his facebook and blog pages. As for Cory's and Danny's "hating each other", that's another one of Chuck's lies. After all, how could he know how they felt about each other since he was away from the band for 30 years. Also, it's impossible to imagine people working together for over 40 years if they disliked each other so much.
IMHO, the reasons Chuck isn't back with the band are: 1 NONE of the current band members want to work with him 2. None of the current band members are ego-driven, narcissistic, or prima donnas; they work as a team and are an united front 3. The families of Cory and Jimmy approved of and are very satisfied with the newest members (Eddie and David were very close friends with Cory and have ties to the family) 4.All of the current band members are valuable because they have more than one talent; Pat is also an audio engineer and he was responsible for the band using in-ear monitors which he helped design; Eddie is a singer/songwriter who wrote many compositions for various cable shows and also owns his own company; David is also a singer/sonwriter who composed material with many artists and once wrote a song for Ray Charles. He also plays keyboard and guitar.Paul is also a singer/songwriter and has skills in management of artists; in addition, he also knows how to play both the bass and lead guitar and well as sing harmony. Michael is a great songwriter and once lead his own band. Finally, Danny: Singer, Producer, Arranger, Talent Manager of musicians, etc. 5. TDN is playing to consistently sold-out venues. They don't need Chuck.
As for your other comments on other facebook pages concerning Danny, Chuck, Michael, and Floyd touring together; if Danny can't stand Chuck and doesn't want him in the band, it would be impossible for that kind of tour.
