Re: “Deep ballot for Charleston's next U.S. congressman

Greg gave all of the candidates an opportunity for an in-depth interview, providing voters with valuable information for this important election to the U.S. House of Representatives. Then he did a great job of editing! At least my salient points are presented far more briefly than expressed during the long interview. I appreciate his work, and it is refreshing to see the opinions of all the candidates who chose to respond presented fairly in the hard-copy paper and online. Thank you Greg and City Paper !

Citizens, you don’t have to select “same old, same old” on election day! Please visit my website, and then Tuesday, Nov 2nd push that electronic button for me. I want to be your congressman and work for you! Please Vote! Thank you, Mac McCullough

Re: “It's best to walk away from anger and ignorance

What a terrific set of comments! Sure hope that Will takes a chance and reads these. I too was present at the Interfaith Service, and it was beautiful. Also, in Terry Scarritt's comment above, she said that people impudently ask you, "what church do you attend?" Well, I'm a candidate for the 1st Congressional District, U.S. House and that already happened to me. It happened in a Starbucks where I was having a meeting with two volunteers. This fellow passing by injected himself into our meeting and in the course of an animated conversation, must have asked 6 to 10 times, "Are you Christian?" My friends and volunteers answered him to no avail. Finally, like Cookie I lost some patience too, and told him it was none of his business since the Constitution wants us to leave religion out of politics. We parted company in a civil way. Funny things happen on the way to Washington.

Re: “America's enemy is the War on Drugs

Hi Will,

This msg is mainly for you. You asked ". . .as you listen to the candidates . . . talk about their solutions to America's problems, . . . When was the last time you heard one of them address our corrupt and ineffective drug laws? Good question.
And I have good news Will, look no further, this Independent Candidate for the 1st Congressional seat speaks about this issue clearly. Visit, click on "Issues" and read the section on Immigration. Thanks, and please let me know what you think.
