Re: “Somebody direct me to the 'coastal village' of Mt. Pleasant

Spent my life in the creeks and there has never been "petting dolphins" in any of the numerous creeks. My family has been in MP for 60+ years and the Old Village use to run from Whilden/Royal Streets east towards the harbor. It was only when real estate agents decided they could get more money for sellers that "Old Village" was extended to just about Ben Sawyer Blvd. It is a VERY small segment that can even remotely be called "quaint" anymore because the traffic cuts through to avoid the traffic jam on Coleman. A Coastal feeling is a state of mind, as previously stated but if you are from here the "quaintness" has long been gone due to greedy elected officials that sold their soul for the almighty dollar. The village area is a part of the town so maybe the neighborhood is quaint but traveling the town to get to the village if far from it.

Re: “Saving Shem Creek: It's not a real cause until a bumper sticker is made

Ignorance is bliss. Can't expect someone to understand what he or she has never experienced. Let the idiots is a free country.
