One of the first forays into Cajun cuisine in Charleston is thankfully the best we’ve seen so far. LoLA brings an unexpected and delicious fusion cuisine to a city that is awash with shrimp and grits. Serving New Orleans classics like etoufee and jambalaya is what keeps patrons coming. And the po’ boys are no slouch either, served on crusty baguettes and packed to the brim with fresh seafood. Between the po’boys, oysters, crawfish, and seafood mac and cheese, you’re bound to find something that satisfies that Cajun fix you’ve been looking to fulfill. (Dish, Winter 2020)
