Re: “Outer Space has some room to grow

This is an art/ music space, not a sorority mixer. I rarely feel socially comfortable walking in music/ art venues where I don't know many (or any) people. The door person at the Tin Roof, Music Farm, Eye Level Art, etc doesn't high five me as I walk in the door. They ask for my money before I walk into a space with people. I am there to see the art or listen to the music. I make my own reality. And really City Paper, this is some of the first press you have given this space. Outer Space is run by a group of young people with a vision. It will take some time to make their vision a reality. But they are doing a great job in working out the kinks as they come along. I applaud them. And T Ballard, as the music editor of the Charleston music scene, you might want to check out some of these bands at Outer Space. Let's face it, the days of Polvo and Pavement are over. Let's make way for a new generation of art and music.
