Re: “TOP STORY ‌ The Coming Wave of Autism

Thank you Wendy for delivering a very well , innovative & educational peice about autsim . I saw this cover at the local BI-LO today and thought , " FINALLY !!! " This issue has been needing to be addressed for a LONG time . Living in the Summerville area ( for well past 12 years now ) my husband James & I are parents of an autistic child who just turned 11 . He goes to school , interacts with peers and we are very pro-active in our son's life . We have a VERY informative website . It's all about autism and lots of resources that are found right here in Lowcounty area !! I created this after our own experience in finding out our son was autistic , you ask , " What next ? Where do I go ? What is autsim ? " Also having to figure out where everything is located what were all the options we had . It's all listed . Most importantly we educated ourselves about his condition . Our son is making great , positive strides in learning the world around him . We REFUSE to give up on him or on each other . And I happily extend thanks to the Charleston City Paper for having this go front page !!! " Strong Foundations Support a Lifetime of Productivity and Success " Our Site : ' Teachers , Parents & Autistic Children '
