Re: “Patrick Harwood uncovers Magnolia Cemetery's stories in a new book

Beautiful cemetery to visit if you get a chance. We ended up there after visiting the H.L. Hunley museum. We ended up going back another weekend to spend more time looking around.

Re: “Fast food workers strike hits Charleston

The issue is $15/hr, bottom line! As mentioned above, that's overkill. Why not propose a more reasonable rate?

Re: “A poor schmuck navigates the world of rich bastard burgers

I've tried Poe's Hop Frog which i like. I'm also a fan of Five Guys. Margaritaville in Myrtle Beach has a good burger which i seem to get every time we visit. Another old school themed burger i really like is from Cheeburger Cheeburger, & i love the retro diner atmosphere; but the closest location is in Bluffton. We also ate at Pawley's in Columbia during a visit last year, but i wasn't overly impressed. Originally from MS, i'm partial to the classic cheeseburger that's commonly found in the small-town, family-owned style diner. Matt's in Summerville fits that bill, but neither me nor my wife were impressed when we ate there last spring. I'll have to try Bessinger's and compare. I haven't really jumped on the gourmet burger bandwagon, but I'm always on the lookout for a good, ole-fashioned cheeseburger!
