Re: “Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series lives on thanks to his wife Harriet McDougal and writer Brandon Sanderson.

I'll admit, I only first read the first WoT book about 4 years ago, when mr. Jordan had already fallen ill. I'd borrowed it from a friend... but I ended up reading through the books way faster than him, so I ended up buying the entire series. They're still dominating my shelves.

Mr. Jordan's passing really saddened me, right along with millions of others, I know. I fervently but silently wished for someone to come up and finish the series, hopefully in a way that would stay true to mr. Jordan's tale. Granted, I still don't know a great many writes of fantasy Epics, so when mr. Sanderson was announced to take up the quill, I checked out his livejournal. What was written there alone half-convinced me mrs. Mcdouglas had picked the right man for the job. Reading mr. Sanderson's books did the rest.

Elantris, the Mistborn trilogy, Warbreaker, and Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians. Each of these has its own distinct "flavour", and with each one, it fits the story completely. I can't explain that statement any further, unfortunately... But each and every tale still hangs in my memory, even though it's been well over 6 months since I read any of them. And then The Gathering Storm was published.

And the millions of fans rejoiced as one.

Ok, ok, maybe not so epicly, but really. Mr. Sanderson did the very best job he could in writing the 12th book, and I for one say he did a fantastic one.

So mr. Sanderson! To you I say, Write On! I eagerly await the Towers of Midnight!
