Re: “So about that Comey book...

I can remember my Mother telling me about that stuff but never experienced it and never felt afraid until now and I am 63. Trump and the money focused powers that be seem hellbent on killing us all for no discernable reason. It is proper to be afraid when no one is representing your interests and if you try to, you might get arrested. I am afraid to live in the USA but do not have the means to leave and would hate to give up my life here. But fear my freedoms will soon all be gone and I will owe the government for breathing.

Re: “WATCH: Sen. Lindsey Graham questions Zuckerberg on competition, consumer awareness, and regulation

TWO things hit me as soon as I watch the weak senator from SC open his mealy mouth....
1. I am as confirmed as ever that Facebook began with the United States Government as a pulse taking tool for the public, to gauge our intelligence and our stupidity and to serve as surveillance and a head start if we ever decide to revolt. They then lost control of it and still do not understand the gravity of it or even what it is and will never get it back.
2. These people are antiques with no modern knowledge that pertains to modern conditions of life and they are the biggest most convincing ad for term limits. Would you want an old E machine for a computer in 2018? Hell no! But we have these men representing us, that have no clue what Facebook is or does and have spent 90% of this fake inquisition asking questions that 30 minutes on Facebook would have answered for them if they had ANY clue. Watching Zuckerberg try not to insult them with every carefully worded answer is painful. He has about 1000 times more information in his head then theirs even has room for. These guys need to go to the little golf course in the sky and let some new blood in.

Re: “For some Charleston restaurants, the staffing shortage shows no signs of stopping

As a business owner for many years this article really makes me angry. They have just tried everything...Charleston is just a hard place to find good help....blah blah blah. They have tried everything but offering the help, the VERY people who make them or break them....A LIVING WAGE for Chrissakes! NO sympathy for these high end places whose food I can ALWAYS do better at in my own kitchen. I leave their restaurants with a 50.00 bill for dinner and they cannot offer more than 2.13 an hour and tips? Raise the wages considerably and you will get the help. Stop treating them like dirt and they will stay. Maybe offer them tent cities behind your restaurant for housing since that is what they can afford with your curent offerings of wages.
