Basically the antithesis of Seinfeld’s famous “Soup Nazi,” Ladles is a charming local chain providing all manner of liquid sustenance to the Lowcountry. Started 11 years ago, it’s quickly expanded far beyond Charleston, but maintains its commitment to quality with a rigorous franchise plan all owners must adhere to. That means that the tangy lemon chicken soup is just as good downtown as it is in West Ashley. And did I mention affordable?
