Re: “Chick-fil-A is Not a Hate Group

The complete lack of logic in this article is offensive.
1. The author asserts that the donations to hate groups don't matter because they were a small percentage of the GNP of the company. How is that relevant? Any contribution to these organizations is unacceptable.
2. He states that boycotts don't matter because people who support bigotry will patronize the restaurants. What? So I should also give them money, and double the amount they can contribute to organizations I do not support?
3. His big finish is that one should not object to small amounts of bigotry because there are larger ones out there. I don't think this is a situation where "Don't sweat the small stuff" applies. This isn't your aged uncle dropping a racist epithet at the dinner table. This is your choice, whether or not to support an ugly policy.
I don't think anyone boycotting Chick-fil-A would consider him or herself a "hero," as one commenter states. It's just one decision in creating a life you can be proud to call your own.
