Re: “State gives Confederate groups a say, but not slave descendants

Are you referring to the Corwin Amendment 1861 that supported slavery and never came close to becoming part of the U.S. Constitution or 4 years later in 1865 the 13th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that abolished slavery? Lincoln supported the Corwin, but after 4 years sided with the abolishment of slavery with the 13th Amendment.

Re: “State gives Confederate groups a say, but not slave descendants

It amazes me that anyone would revere a war they lost much less fly the flag they lost under. That would be like someone in Germany flying a Nazi flag. Really? Your "heritage" you pride yourselves with is followed by few nationwide. You are the minority here. Quit throwing this crap at us. It's worse than a black person throwing out the race card all the time. Shut up! As for ya'll saying it's not about hate...I'm 49 and have known many Confederate flag flyers over my life in Fla. and SC. They have all been "rednecks" and all were definitely racist. By the way, I'm white.
