Re: “We shopped at Mt. Pleasant's new ALDI grocery store so you don't have to

This is absolutely the most ignorant article I have ever read. Your gripes: 1. Having to deposit a quarter (that will be returned to you) to get a shopping cart. This is obviously to keep the shopping carts wrangled. . . 2. Aldi has block cheese??? How do you think most cheese you eat is manufactured? In a wheel, it somehow comes from the cow pre-shredded? 3. The signage is straightforward. . . how is that a gripe? Would you rather they employee another clerk to answer questions? 4. There was a line at checkout. . . Was there a line at checkout the week TJ's opened or Whole Foods, are there still lines there? You mention nothing about the insanely good value the fruits and vegetables and European imports are. This alone is why I always shop at Aldi. A bag of apples for $2.50, instead of Harris Teeter at $4.00. I eat way more fresh fruits and vegetables because of these great prices. Why keep shopping and wasting your money at overpriced grocery stores . . . Also, have you ever shopped at a grocery store in Europe? We have a house in France, and most grocery stores you deposit change for a shopping cart and bag your own groceries . . .
