Kick them boots up high

Feeling Bullish?

The fourth annual Cowboy Couture Gala caused quite a stir out at Patriots Point on Thursday night. Charleston's finest skip-a-doo'd right on over to the Firewater Saloon to enjoy cocktails and music by local fiddlers David Sheppard and Ivy Lindley. After a few strong whiskeys poured through the revolver-fashioned ice luges, the mingling crowd was lassoed into the chuckwagon tent to enjoy dinner by chef James Burn. The serenaded guests whipped out their checkbooks for cowboy auctioneer Jamie Marchant, with the proceeds benefitting the Hemangioma Treatment Foundation. By the time the cover band, Right On, took the stage above the bags of Cowboy Charcoal, guests were ready to balance drinks while two-steppin'across the dance floor. —Svetlana Minx
