Re: “Artists locate missing work following City Paper story on Rebekah Jacob Gallery

As another artist ( photographer) who was represented by RJG from her first gallery on lower King Street until 54 Broad Street ( when I finally had to go and remove all of my images that I could find), I am so glad to see that the City Paper has done this excellent job of busting her cover. I have lost to her inventory around 17 images; of the ones that I removed from her space, four were rendered useless by careless damage. I can only say that the artists who were involved with her were trusting that she ran a legitimate art gallery, but who on earth really knew that she herself was an artist of a different sort--as in con artist.
One can only hope that justice will prevail- I was under the impression that her malicious, unrepentant behavior against so many in this small city would have consequences. This is my understanding of the law. Let's hope that she will lose the space on John Street soon, and perhaps relocate to Latin America.
