Design genius

Josh Higgins is basically a designer extraordinaire, and he is (probably jetting, or some other really cool mode of travel) to Charleston for a talk detailing his prolific career in the industry. Higgins will guide the audience through the timeline of his career, paying particular attention to the moments that led to each of his successes. He’ll also discuss what he’s learned throughout his noteworthy career. Not only did Higgins lead Obama’s 2012 historic presidential campaign both on and offline, but he is now the manager for the Communications Design team at that website you may have heard of, Facebook. Charles Carmody, director of the Charleston Music Hall says, “[Higgins is] one of the most influential creative directors on the web right now. If you go online, it looks the way it looks because of him.” Unsurprisingly, Higgins’ work has afforded him multiple national awards. Higgins has a strong passion for social causes, and has given much of his time to work for projects like The Hurricane (which raised money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina), So-Cal (which raised money for the victims of the wild fires in Southern California), and the Haiti Poster Projects. So, sit down, Charleston Plebeians, and get ready to be schooled by the best of the best.
