Re: “

I think the best pizza around is La Pizzeria in Mt Pleasant, but if I'm desperate I don't consider Andolini's to be as terrible as some make it out to be. I've never had GREAT pizza in the south but look at what this place is up against-- Papa Johns, Dominos, etc... Relatively speaking, it's not THAT bad.

I love all of the "I-lived-in-New-York-for-a-few-years-so-I'm-an-authority" comments on this site. A lot of people have-- just because you did doesn't you automatically have good taste.

@ Jaxx-- It's Bleecker Street. With a "c." Do you pronounce Houston St. as "Hewston St." too?

a fish taco for 6 bucks needs to have more than ONE SLICE of tuna on it.

Re: “Openings: Brasserie Gigi and Bistro Toulouse

Is the new intern doing copy editing as well? Four errors made within ONE name! It's Henri (with an "i") DE Toulouse-Lautrec (not "Latrec." Last name is the hyphenated one; not "Henry-Toulouse"). I know this isn't an article about art, but if you're unsure about the spelling of a name, it really only takes about 5 seconds to look it up.

Re: “Skinful Halloween forced to relocate

why do the organizers always stress the fact that attendees are "consensual" or "consenting"-- is the whole thing a giant orgy?

Re: “Sermet's gets an update but changes little besides the decor

Sermet owes a huge debt to the students and so-called "bohemians" who frequented his restaurant for years. It's almost a slap in the face to make the restaurant less financially and atmospherically accessible to the people who showed support to him, his cooking, his ARTWORK (what a great touch! why would anyone scrap this???), and his vibe.

Re: “Sermet's gets an update but changes little besides the decor

This is such a shame to hear-- Sermet's was a great student hangout because it offered an opportunity to dine out on some good food in a cool environment without breaking the bank. I guess when they "upscaled" the decor (which already bummed me out to hear), they upscaled the prices too.
