Re: “Leonard Pitts on Keeping Faith and Losing Religion

In an attempt to appear "fair", Mr. Pitts closes with, "Christ didn't fail her, Christianity did."
Like snipping at a rival, "Who dressed you today, your mother?" and then saying, "It was just a joke."
If Mr. Pitts were seeking clarity, resolution and intellectual honesty, rather than giving Ms. Rice and her current "15 minutes of fame," a forum to express her opinion as fact, he might use her angst to inquire, "Since you're dissatisfied with your church and the Catholic church but you believe in Jesus, have you looked for a Bible-believing, walk the walk church that glorifes God by changing hearts AND minds towards His will?"
But Mr. Pitts isn't fair, because he's not fair minded. He's a secular humanist who doesn't mind backhanding Jesus through another.
If schools taught and encouraged discernment, Mr. Pitts opinion would carry the weight of MSNBC's commentators: little.
