Oh what a night it will be when the Jersey Boys serenade the North Charleston Coliseum. Or, what six nights it will be. This Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of the 1960s pop and rock ‘n’ roll band, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The young Valli started singing when he was a teenager, and was inspired by Ol’ Blue Eyes himself. He was so inspired, in fact, that his band made its own, equally ill-advised, Mafia connection. The songs of Jersey Boys tell the story of Valli and the Four Seasons’ quick and bumpy rise to the top. What’s different about this musical is you get each band member’s perspective on their years together, with part of the story told through each musician’s point of view. And since every faux Frankie Valli has to go to Frankie Valli school — seriously, the real Frankie is the teacher — you can expect a pretty accurate portrayal of the falsetto-voiced king as the actors perform their hits like “Sherry,” “Walk Like a Man,” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.”
