Re: “The demise of 96 Wave

Well put, as usual - I agree with everything you say here. I think they need to put The Critic in charge ~ that would be an awesome station. ;)

Re: “THE GOOD FIGHT ‌ Back to Basics

The SCE & G linemen near Scarborough's parent's house that night were not black. It was obvious they were not invading anyone's home. It was clear who they were as they had high powered flash lights pointing up to the electrical lines they were inspecting with their brightly colored orange vests that practically glow in the dark. Their huge SCE & G bucket truck was parked on the street. There had been a bad storm that night, and thousands in the area were out of power. Lines were down and could have been dangerous to anyone who may have come in contact with them. The linemen work as fast at they can not only to restore our power, but to make sure the area is safe and free of downed power lines. The time it would take for them to let everyone know they are going to be working in their yard would slow down this process greatly. Any rational person in this situation would not have reacted as Scarborough did, but Rep. Scarborough was paranoid, having had private investigators following him and his mistress for months, so he acted in a irrational manner; and for the future safety of the SCE & G linemen, he should have acknowledged this after it happened. I don't think anyone is saying you don't have the right to defend your home, but the responsible gun owners I know would take a minute to find out who exactly is in their yard before shooting at them, and in this particular situation, it was obvious who they were.
