Re: “This was the year of cautious optimism for Spoleto

No way was Die Roten Punkte "a poor man's Hedwig and the Angry Inch."

I saw Hedwig in it's heyday in NY and as much as I enjoyed it then, Die Roten Punkte completely blew my mind. Their songs are genuinely catchy and have stayed with me for days. Can anyone remember a Hedwig song even?

I commend the festival on bringing an act to Charleston which did not divide ages and on the night I went young and old were dancing by the end of the concert.

ROCK BANG Die Roten Punkte, and viva Otto und Astrid Rot and their amazing show.

Re: “Spoleto 2010 Superlatives

For what it's worth the best show I saw this year was Die Roten Punkte. Absolutley excellent performances and certainly NOT a poor man's Hedwig and The Angry Inch (did you even see the show Nick, were you there for a cheering and standing ovations)? Good reivews for them everywhere else at least!
