Part of the Spoleto Conversations With... Series. Join Emmy Award-winning CBS News correspondent and Conversations host Martha Teichner for a series of lively and enlightening talks with festival artists. Jack Terricloth is front man for World/Inferno Friendship Society and Jay Scheib is director of Addicted to Bad Ideas: Peter Lorre’s 20th Century.

The Buzz:

WHAT IS IT? CBS News correspondent Martha Teichner comes down from New York to conduct interviews with artists at Spoleto. Don’t expect any softball questions. Teichner is an award-winning journalist with dozens of years of experience covering major international events before she joined CBS Sunday Morning.

WHY SEE IT? On tap are chats with Hugh Hughes, the alter ego of Shon Dale-Jones, the man behind the one-man show, Story of a Rabbit. Beverly “Guitar” Watkins will also give you her two cents. Jack Terricloth, as close as you can get to being a Peter Lorre scholar as you can without a Ph.D., also talks. And Charles Wadsworth, the godfather of chamber music, sits down for the last time to discuss his more than 30 years as Spoleto director of chamber music.

WHO SHOULD GO? This is an ideal chance to see actors out of character, singers using their speaking voices, and, in one case, witness some of the final public musing of a beloved and acclaimed figure in the small world of classical music. (John Stoehr)
