Re: “Local filmmakers caught in the middle of film-fest squabble

That was a suspicious onslaught of positive comments for the Terrace. I smell a rat. Is Mikey creating new user accounts to post phoney reviews? Tisk Tisk.

Mr. Furlinger -
Please stop posting responses because you're digging a hole for yourself. You look ridiculous and less-than professional. You keep citing things from the past, but keep in mind that the Terrace is now in the hands of new ownership - ownership that can't appreciate your smear campaign.

This article was fair and balanced in my opinion. It made it clear that many parties were at fault here and that this was an un-wanted situation. With that in mind, why the hell are you carrying on like this? If there's a negative spin on this page, it's not from the article, it's from your behavior.

Re: “Local filmmakers caught in the middle of film-fest squabble

To quote CFF: "1) It costs us money and time to work on this festival for someone to pull their film."

Response: It costs indie filmmakers a heck of a lot more to produce, shoot, edit and promote these films. All the expense is on the filmmakers end - it's their creative work. You just get to reap the benefits and make a profit. Which, raises another point. The CFF is a for-profit festival - pure capitalism. I'm sure the exclusion of a couple of shorts won't go amiss with all the popcorn and beverage sales. The CIFF is a non-profit festival. They're not in it to take advantage of indie filmmakers.
