Re: “Local filmmakers caught in the middle of film-fest squabble

Thank God Mike Furlinger will no longer own the Terrace Theater soon. I have been attending smaller circuit films and local films at the terrace for several years, including the CIFF. But my recent encounter with Mr. Furlinger was extremely unpleasant, and let me see his true colors - spite, bitterness, and greed. I believe he should get all the bad press he deserves by trying to sabotage the CIFF. Thankfully Brian and Summer at CIFF were nice enough to allow FOUR films that Mr. Furlinger was basically holding hostage into their festival. It's just a shame that Mike Furlinger has sent the Terrace name in a negative direction just before he passes it off to new owners. I encourage all of you to keep supporting the Terrace Theater on James Island after it has changed hands, and let the Hippodrome rot in the ground.

Cheers,
