Pinecone Productions, Charleston’s newest musical production company, presents a night of visual-audio performances by Electric Friends and The Midnight Ace and VJ ESP on Friday. Billed as I Can’t Feel My Face: Episode I, the gig promises epic music, corresponding video mixes, and hundreds of dancing people. John Marzuola, founder of Pinecone Productions, relocated from Austin and started the company to fill the void of musical performances and experiences in the area. “A lot of things I’ve seen in Charleston are more like parties and concerts,” says Marzuola. “I’m bringing in more productions and shows. I Can’t Feel My Face is pretty heavy on the production side.” Friday’s event will include colorful lights and the Lady Pinecones (girls perform at all the Pinecone Production events). It will be ”very showmanship oriented,” says Marzuola. The two performing DJ/VJ groups will bring sounds of electro, house, and B’more club music, and provide visuals to boot. Advance tickets can be purchased online at etix.com or at Merch Underground at 499 King Street. The event is one of many productions Pinecone Productions promises to bring to Charleston. “There will be a lot of events in the future, but nothing is set in stone right now,” says Marzuola. —Olivia Gossett
