Gallim Dance will perform a suite of dances set to an eclectic score incorporating sources as diverse as the Israeli band Balkan Beat Box and Puccini. Sponsored by Charleston Place and presented by Spoleto Festival USA. Approximately one hour 10 minutes.

Gallim is Andrea Miller's baby
The New York-based troupe's founder and choreographer Andrea Miller studied dance at the Juilliard School and started her professional career with Ohad Naharin's Ensemble Batsheva in Israel. In 2006, she established Gallim to support her modern choreography. Miller was named one of "25 to Watch" by Dance Magazine in 2009, which said, "Miller laces laugh-out-loud humor through serious moments, taking audience members on a ride."

Dance fans will swoon
Newbies might scratch their heads. Gallim will perform I Can See Myself in Your Pupil, a suite of dances set to eclectic music. Featuring seven dancers in technicolor costumes, the show "develops a non-linear narrative of seven vignettes that weave together moments of intimacy, awkwardness of the body, and the pleasure of dancing," according to Gallim's official website. If you don't know much about modern dance, you might just see the awkwardness.

Rock out
The show features a soundtrack of eccentric music ranging from Israeli band Balkan Beat Box to Puccini.
