Once the wickedness of Halloween has passed, celebrate the more wholesome aspects of fall at the county’s annual Harvest Festival. Bluegrass music, hayrides, crafters, and pumpkins are the focus of this popular event. Starting at noon, the Plantation Allstars will play, followed by Southern Flavor Bluegrass Band, Hungry Monk Music, Yee Haw Junction, and Bluestone Ramblers, so don’t forget your dancing shoes. Refuel with old-fashioned fare like barbecue and kettle corn, and wash it all down with icy-cold bevs. Kids will enjoy country games like a stick pony corral, lassoing demonstrations, pumpkin decorating, and a scarecrow-making contest. Yeehaw. —Erica Jackson
