Re: “High speed texter not very excited

I'm with you ericloz...99 Tahoe. The bigger and more manacing the vehicle the better the "OH SHIT" looks become!

Bottom line...it should be illegal and strictly enforced. I'm pretty sure if I'm cruising on 26 around 65 reading the City Paper while driving a SC State Trooper is gonna have some choice words and a few blue copies for me! These inconsiderate idiots are taking our lives and the lives of our loved ones into their full and "off the wheel" hands!

Re: “Group fighting a winter break for Summerville Y's Oakbrook pool

I love the Y. My kids have soccered there for years. We are members and frequent the Oakbrook site, my 11y/o learned to swim in that very pool. In my opinion, the pool doesn't have the business in the winter regardless of the giant bubble. The pool facility as a whole is small and seems to me to be showing quite a bit of wear. I'm all for the building of an enclosed and larger pool area. This would replace the high costs of maintaining and replacement of the bubble. The website and petition agenda should look at raising the money instead of the simple paper demands for keeping the pool open regardless of the drain. The pool is 1 of several benefits the Y offers to the community, it's not fair to take funds from other programs to sink into demands from people not willing to simply allow the Y to decide what's best for business. They admit to plans for future upgrades or buildings, geez... have some patience and allow the Y to do their thing!
