Griffon Stache Bash

When: Tue., Nov. 30 2010
Price: (donations)
Have you been seeing a lot of Tom Selleck, John Waters, or Salvador Dali lookalikes around town lately? That’s because when it comes to cancers that affect males below the belt, men have decided to raise awareness and funds in a decidedly masculine way: by growing mustaches. Movember is a worldwide initiative benefitting the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, and plenty of local groups are tossing their razors for the month. Whether or not you’re capable of growing your own, you can pitch in on the cause at the Griffon’s second Stache Bash. The party features live music from Guilt Ridden Troubador, a downtown bike ride, food, beer, and costume and mustache contests. (Bearded beauties beware: Your full facial hair doesn’t count. It’s above the lip or nothing.) Plus, throughout the entire month, the bar’s donating $1 from every pint of Stone Levitation, New Belgium Fat Tire, and New Belgium Ranger to the foundation.
