GQ loves Charleston's special sauce

Shrimp-n-grits, folks. We mean shrimp-n-grits.

Men's magazine GQ is the latest publication to fall for Charleston's Southern charms, with the Lowcountry destination leading its list of the Coolest Small Cities in America. Highlighting the area's "mind-blowing shrimp-n-grits just minutes from an awesome surf scene," the scribes name drops the Wentworth Mansion, the waves on Folly Beach, and the vittles at Hominy Grill, Taco Boy, and FIG. Other honorees include Providence, R.I.; Portland, Maine; Athens, Ga.; and Santa Fe, N.M. Says the mag: "Hit these miniopolises, where top-notch food comes straight from the farm and your third round is on the house." We don't know about the free cocktail, but we appreciate the attention.
