Re: “Victim of Folly Road bike fatality was the driver in Skinful felony DUI

Julia this recent story was reported correctly. The back tracking to the accident at the party is not completely correct. City paper says there was no bear suit in the incident report. I was there, and unfortunately the victim was in a bear suit. That among other details of the October accident are not correct

Re: “Victim of Folly Road bike fatality was the driver in Skinful felony DUI

If media politics are not involved then why bring up an event that has nothing to do with his death? Channel 5 didn't grind in the skinful incident like city paper. As a matter of fact what did that party have to do with Reid's unfortunate passing? As mentioned before, I'm sure he and his family already spent every waking moment thinking about his October accident. So when he gets hit by a car and dies the MEDIA brings up the fact that he killed someone months before. That is how they made it a headline. Last week one of my friends was killed in a hit and run on savannah highway, was this blown up all over the papers? It wasn't. He was run over by a drunk driver who rode with Jerry's bike trapped under his truck for almost two miles. Then he stopped and threw the bike to the sidewalk and drove off. During this time jerry is in the middle of the road bleeding out left for dead. Was this story being plastered everywhere ? We are more worried about making a headline then being respectful or moral towards the victims. We can be politically correct about all kinds of stupid things but just can't be civil and moral when it comes to death and family, how twisted. I just find it disrespectful and out of bounds to harp on the past accident when now two families and more are left in this wake of tragedy. Im not the sharpest tool in the shed or the brightest bulb in the pack , but I am smart enough to see that all media is political, all media has an agenda. If you can't see it, that means you are either that niaeve or part of the agenda. Wake up people. A young man has lost the rest of his life. People that surround him have lost a brother, a son, a friend, yet we try and discount that because he had a terrible accident that took the life of another. Should we all be outcasts and deserve life long hardship because we make mistakes? God bless all of the families and friends.

dear city paper, you must not have asked the lawyer questions in the correct manner, therefore not getting the correct answers. Or maybe the lawyer and police don't give you every detail about the case because you don't mean a thing to the case. Have you thought of it that way? Were you a first responder? Were you even at the event? What governmental agency ever lays all their cards on the table for you to see? None, so why would this be any different? Stop trying to be a CSI and stick to what you are paid to do, write the facts. Some people just want the facts, not your distorted, entitled, condescending rhetoric. One day, the way city paper throws its own clients under the bus, is gonna blow up in city papers face. You make enough people mad they wont ever advertise with yall again. Good For You !!!

Re: “Victim of Folly Road bike fatality was the driver in Skinful felony DUI

Why even bring up skinful? A young man lost his life and has left behind his family. Can we just give the man his respect and not drag his name through a past event which I'm sure haunted his every waking moment. Can't his death be about the life he lived and not the one moment that scared it? Is the media so shallow that they have to print a story in mal intent just to get some interest? The city paper should be ashamed of how they brought this story forward. It's just proof that these media outlets are callous and only want to pick apart anything and anyone with or without a pulse. And all you people saying karma did this, I am sure I will see all of you in hell when I get there. God bless all of Reid's family and friends, I did not know him, but he and his family are in my prayers. Again all you politically correct know it all pukes, I will see ALL of you in HELL.
